On Monday, a vehicle driving in a 30 km/h zone was flashed driving at no less than 101 km/h on Chaussée de Haecht in Evere. The driver was found to be driving under the influence of narcotics.
After being caught by traffic police, the driver’s license will be revoked for a period of 15 days. However, the police court will be able to charge a heavier sanction if the driver is convicted.

The car was flashed but officers initially failed to find the vehicle registration plate as the vehicle did not have one on the side it was flashed, the Brussels North police reported in a press release on Wednesday.
However, the description and the photo of the vehicle were passed on to the patrol units of the Brussels North police zone and the driver was intercepted in Rue d'Aerschot.
