A fire broke out in a studio flat in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht on Sunday afternoon.
At around 12:00 on Sunday, the Brussels Fire Brigade were called to the top level of a three-story building on Rue Memling in Anderlecht.
The fire was swiftly put out by the firefighters and, as the third level of the building was empty at the time of the accident, there were no injuries.
However, the fire caused significant damage to the top floor of the flats while the lower floors, which were heavily sprayed by the fire hoses, are now uninhabitable. Gas and power lines were also damaged.
The accident's cause has yet to be determined.
