The Ferris wheel on Place Poelaert will keep overlooking the city for another six years as another planning permit has been issued, according to Brussels City Council member of Commerce, Fabian Maingain.
"It's an addition to the city's tourist offering that brings visitors coming to enjoy the best view of the capital," he wrote on Twitter.
The Ferris wheel was first installed in Brussels for a few months in 2019 and 2020 but returned in June for a longer period of time.
The announcement marks a success for the City of Brussels which for years has planned to have a permanent Ferris wheel in Brussels to guide tourists towards the Sablon and Marolles districts.
