Following their quarter-final elimination at the 2022 Women's Euros, the Red Flames retained their 19th place in the new FIFA world rankings published on Friday.
The Red Flames, whose best world ranking was two places higher at 17th, now have to prepare for their final are now preparing two qualifying matches for the 2023 Women's World Cup against Norway on 2 September and Armenia on 6 September.
The Belgian national side are currently in second place in group F, three points behind Norway, and need to finish in first place in the group to book their place for the tournament.

If they were to finish in second place, they would have to go through additional play-off matches to qualify.
In other changes, European champions England moved up from four places to 4th; while Germany, England's opponents in the final, climbed from 5th to 2nd place, just behind the United States, who retained their spot at the top of the rankings.
