In the Brussels-Capital Region, three municipalities are opening cool public spaces for their residents during the hot days, where they can take shelter from the heat and get water.
In Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, a cool room is being made available on the patio of the W:Hall cultural centre.
From Monday to Friday, the area is open to people who want to cool down, from 10:00 to 17:00. The room is furnished with chairs and tables, and water will be available as well. The Red Cross is also present.

The municipality of Auderghem is also making two spaces available to take shelter from the heat: one in the Salle des Paradisiers on Chaussée de Wavre 1336, and one in La Houlette on Avenue de la Houlette 95.
Both rooms will be open to the public for those seeking a cool space between 11:00 and 19:00. Residents can also call 0800/35.179 for more information about the heatwave.
In Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, a reception centre has been opened in the social grocery of the local public centre for social welfare (OCMW/CPAS), where water is available.
People can also call the 02/482.13.05 information number during working hours for all information about the heat and cooling in the municipality.
