Two new reception centres for Ukrainian refugees will open in Brussels in the next few days in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and Saint-Gilles. Ukrainians who cannot find shelter will be guided to the collective housing solution by the organisation Bruss’help.
About 50,000 Ukrainian refugees have settled in Belgium since the invasion of Russia, a fifth of them in Brussels, Bruzz reports.
The first long-term reception centre for Ukrainians in Brussels opened in July. The new centres will be at the Sunrise Centre in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and the Esplanade Centre in Saint-Gilles.

The Sunrise centre will be managed by the Citizens Platform for Refugee Support, while the Esplanade Centre will be managed by Ukrainian Voices. Each centre will be able to host about 50 Ukrainians for temporary protection.
In the coming weeks, three more hotels will also open their doors to Ukrainians arriving in the city, Bruss’help announced.
