The Pannenhuis metro station had to be evacuated around 10:50 on Wednesday due to smoke coming from beneath a metro.
The Brussels fire brigade was called to the station when a technical issue with a running metro caused smoke to be released. Brussels public transport company STIB evacuated people from the defective metro, while the services turned off the electricity in the station before departing the site.
