For the second time this year, 35,000 young Europeans have the chance to win a free train ticket to travel around Europe. They can apply via the European Youth Portal between 11 and 25 October, the EU Commission announced on Monday.
The DiscoverEU initiative aims to help young people discover the European continent and make international contacts. “Promoting cultural exchanges through sustainable travel has never been more relevant,” said European Commissioner for Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel.
To be in with a chance of winning a travel pass, applicants must complete five quiz questions and an additional tiebreaker question on the Youth Site. The competition is open to anyone born in 2004 (anyone turning 18 or has already turned 18 this year).
