The Japanese pharmaceutical giant Takeda has announced that it will invest €300 million in its branch in Lessines, Hainaut province.

The site is already used to process blood plasma into treatments for rare diseases. Takeda now plans to build a new production facility and warehouse, worth an investment of €300 million. It is Takeda’s largest investment ever in Belgium.

The investment was announced on the occasion of the site’s fiftieth anniversary.
