After a damp weekend, skies are due to clear this week and temperatures will rise. Monday starts with a few showers in some regions, though these will generally be localised and brief. Maximum temperatures will vary between 11 °C in the Hautes Fagnes and 17 °C in the west of the country, according to forecasts by the Royal Meteorological Institute.
Winds will generally be moderate from the northwest. Later on Monday, the risk of showers will decrease and be limited to the east of the Ardennes and along the coast. Mist, fog and low cloud banks will form in places, especially south of the Sambre et Meuse.
On Monday night, temperatures will drop to between 5 and 7 °C in the Ardennes, with the rest of the country around 10 °C and around 13 °C by the sea.
Tuesday morning will bring banks of low cloud to some regions, which can sometimes reduce visibility in the Ardennes. During the day, the sky will be partly to sometimes very cloudy with some light precipitation in places.
Maximum temperatures will vary between 11 °C in the Hautes Fagnes and 17 °C in parts of Flanders. Temperatures will continue to rise towards the end of the week.
