The FGTB – the General Labour Federation of Labour – will not support the “Fridays of Rage,” which will be organised from 30 September by the leftist PTB party, said the Secretary-General of the Walloon branch of the trade Jean-François Tamellini on Sunday.
While being interviewed by RTL- TVI, he said: "We ask the population to join us in our plan of action and not in another,” affirmed Tamellini, insisting on the independence of the socialist trade union organisation and political parties.

The 2022 edition of Manifiesta, a festival and political gathering organised by the President of the PTB, Raoul Hedebouw, launched a call on Saturday for rotating mobilisations as part of “angry Fridays” to protest against the rising cost of living crisis and skyrocketing energy prices.
These will be launched from 30 September in the cities of the country.
Actions will be targeted against energy tariffs, but also against the government, an “accomplice of the energy multinationals.”
