The 'Bruxelles sur Scènes' café-theatre festival returns to the Belgian capital from 1 to 30 November for a sixth edition, the organisers said on Thursday.
For an entire month, the public will be able to discover, through the 13 places hosting the event, "the local culture that makes the heart of the capital beat."
Supported by the Brussels-Capital Region's French Community Commission (COCOF) and visit.brussels, the region's tourism promotion agency, the event will once again highlight all facets of the performing arts, from stand-up comedy and jazz to theatre and song.
Thirteen café-theatres, including the 'Atelier Marcel Hastir,' the 'Jazz Station,' and 'Le Rayon Vert' will open their doors to the general public with their usual programming, "but reinforced for the occasion in order to reach a new audience," the organisers said.
"The programme offers a rich variety of shows combining music, comedy, theatre, all accompanied by a drink or a meal, in the warmth of these intimate and friendly places that make up the richness of Brussels," they added.
Participating café-theatres further include: Le Café de la Rue, Côté Village, Le Fou Rire, Le Jardin of my Sister, Les Lundis d'Hortense, L'Os à Marrow, Le Petit Chapeau Rond Rouge, Au B'Izou, The Music Village and Zoart.
