The Centre for Information about the Media (CIM) has revealed the most-listened to radio stations in Belgium, with Nostalgia coming out on top among French speakers and Radio 2 first among Flemish listeners.
On Wednesday, the CIM disclosed the listening figures for radio stations between May and August and divided the rankings between Flemish and French-speaking listeners.
Radio 2, owned by VRT, the Flemish public-service broadcaster came first among Flemish listeners with a market share of 28.3%, with Qmusic and Joe, both stations under the DPG Media Group, compelling the top three with 12.8% and 10.7% of the share respectively.
The fourth, fifth and six most listened to stations in Flanders are all public broadcasting stations: Radio 1 (8.5%), MNM (7.4%) and Studio Brussel (7%).

For francophone listeners it is Nostalgia that came out on top, albeit with a smaller market share than Radio 2 in Flanders, amassing only 14.32%, not far in front of Radio Contact with 14.27%.
The top three is closed out by RTBF's VivaCité (11.72%), who had come first in the rankings from January to April.
In the rest of the ranking, we find Classic 21 with 11.50% of the market share, Bel RTL (10.40%), La Première (6.56%) and NRJ (5.19%).
