RSC Anderlecht's chances of qualifying for the next round of the European Conference League rest on their final match against Danish side Silkeborg, after they drew 2-2 with Romanian side FCSB on Thursday night.

The club from the Belgian capital were coming off the back of a chaotic weekend which led them to fire their coach and to be fined by the Belgian Pro League after their supporters threw flares onto the pitch.

Anderlecht needed a win in their match with FCSB to qualify and started off well by going ahead thanks to a goal from Yari Verschaeren in the 38th minute.

However, FCSB equalised in the 60th minute, before summer signing Jan Vertonghen put the Mauves ahead once more 15 minutes later, but it was not to last as Joyskim Dawa made it 2-2.

With the draw, Anderlecht would have been eliminated had Silkeborg beaten West Ham, but the London side handed them a favour by winning 1-0.

This means that the last group match between Anderlecht and Silkeborg will decide who will go through to the round of 16.
