International train traffic will be disrupted until 14 November due to problems on the Thalys network and planned engineering works on the railway tracks, the company announced on Monday.
On its website, the high-speed train operator Thalys listed which trains departing from Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam or Cologne will not run per day. It concerns eight trains on Monday (today), seven on Tuesday, four on both Wednesday and Thursday, and seven on Monday 14 November (next week). On Friday, there will be no Thalys trains at all between Brussels and Paris.
There are "operational difficulties" on the Thalys network, meaning that the offer has been adjusted until 14 November, a spokesperson told AFP News Agency. Just over 90% of connections will be operated, while 9.8% will not. The disruption varies from day to day and the offer has also been adjusted in function of the number of travellers.

Additionally, there will also be disruptions due to works on the Belgian rail network between 10 and 13 November. As a result, during the public holiday on Friday 11 November, there will be no trains in either direction between Brussels and Paris.
Thalys also refers to the trade union actions on Wednesday 9 November in Belgium, and the day after France. "In the current situation, our trains will run as planned, but national traffic and public transport will be disrupted."
