Belgium’s Magali Kempen and China’s Jia-Jing Lu won the doubles title at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in Sharm-El Sheikh, Egypt.
Kempen (24) and Jia-Jing were the top-seeded pair at the tournament, played on hard court. They defeated Russians Aliona Falei and Elena Pridankina by 6-4, 2-6, 10-6, making off with $25,000 in first-prize money in the process.
The win gave Kempen, ranked 283rd in the world in doubles and 239th in singles, her fourth doubles title for the year and her second with Jia-Jing Lu.
She now has 17 ITF doubles trophies to her name, as well as 9 in the singles.
