Businessman Luc Tack announced on Monday that he was taking over Latexco, a mattress manufacturer located in Tielt, West Flanders.
The company has over 400 employees in Belgium, but also in Spain, Indonesia and Singapore.
It had been in the hands of Luc Maes’ family for several years, and they were looking for a buyer.
The two families know each other well.
The amount of the purchase was not disclosed.
Luc Tack is also the owner of chemical group Tessenderlo and weaving loom company Picanol, among others.
