2. Stay hydrated! Being well hydrated, by drinking non-alcoholic drinks and water, helps your body process the alcohol and flush it out of your system after it has been broken down.
3. Say “no” to top-ups! When having a drink, consider avoiding top-ups, especially if you’re not pouring it yourself as it makes it more difficult to keep track of how much you’re consuming.
4. Remember that All Drinks Are Equal. Whether you choose beer, wine, or spirits, a standard drink of each contains the same amount of alcohol. It’s not about what you drink, but how much you drink.
5. Be wildly responsible! Binge drinking is when a large amount of alcohol* is consumed rapidly within a short time. It leads to intoxication and can cause serious harm in both the short and the long-term. Moderate drinking is the best way to celebrate the holiday season and the start of the new year!
