The French Football Federation has condemned the racist abuse suffered by their players after their World Cup final loss against Argentina and has announced its intention to file a complaint against those behind the abusive online messages.
Following France's World Cup final loss against Argentina on Sunday, many of the French players were the unfortunate recipients of hateful and racist messages on social media.
Among them were Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni, who both missed their penalties in the shoot-out and were subjected to the same racist abuse as English players Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were after their loss against Italy in the 2020 European Championships final.
As a result, the French Football Federation (FFF) has condemned the outpouring of hate towards their players and announced on Twitter their intention to 'file a complaint' against the authors of these messages.
