The SNCB has announced their end-of-year schedule, with fewer trains set to run between 24 December and 8 January. The most notable changes are a reduction of trains in circulation during peak travel hours, as well as those heading to Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
On Thursday, Belgium's national railway company SNCB announced changes to their train timetables between 24 December and 8 January, as fewer commuters take the train due to the end-of year holidays.
The main change is that most P trains — in circulation during peak travel hours — will not running, as well as a further number of S trains — that connects Belgium's largest cities. These include the S5 line between Mechelen and Hal, the S34 between Sint-Niklaas and Antwerp-Central and S61 between Charleroi-Central and Jambes.

Furthermore, those wanting to head to Luxembourg and the Netherlands by train in the next week will be left disappointed. This weekend, the number of trains travelling from Belgium to the former will be decreased this weekend, as will be the case for trains running to the Netherlands on New Year's Eve.
Passengers will be able to check the SNCB's trip planner via their website or mobile app to stay up to date on any subsequent adjustments.
