Social incomes such as the minimum pension, guaranteed income for the elderly (Grapa), social integration income (RIS) and income replacement allowance (ARR) for the disabled, will go up on 1 January 2023.

Over 1,000,000 persons stand to benefit directly from the increases, announced on Thursday by the office of the federal minister for pensions and social integration, Karine Lalieux.

With an increase of 2.6%, the minimum pension for a single person with a full 45-year career will now be a net €1,549 per month, including indexation and the welfare package. For households, this amount will reach €2,045 per month.

The Grapa will now amount to € 1,460 per month for a single person and € 973 per cohabitant.

The gross monthly RIS and ARR will increase to €809.42 for cohabitants, €1,640.83 for persons with family responsibilities and €1,214.13 for single persons.

A new revaluation of these social incomes will take place on 1 January 2024.
