Avatar 2: The Way of Water, the sequel to the most successful film ever, has rounded the two-billion dollars mark at the box office, according to the specialist website Exhibit Relations and later confirmed by US media.
With a box office receipt of more than two billion dollars, the film joins a select few of all-time smash hits. Only five films have reached such an accolade before, including two previous films by director James Cameron: 'Avatar' and 'Titanic'.
The other films to round the cape were the Marvel movies 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'Avengers: Infinity War'. 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' can also count itself among the select few.
