A Brussels resident who bought a winning lottery ticket in a newsagent in Brussels-Central station at the end of December 2022, discovered on Tuesday that they had hit gold after the winning cheque was delivered to the manager on Tuesday.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, won €1,500,020. He plays with his family as a group, Bruzz reports.
Elvis Kaloshi, who owns the shop that sold the winning ticket, took over the business in early December 2022, and welcomed the good fortune of one of his customers: "I hope I can make many more people happy this way."
In 2022, a total of 40 Belgian residents won the Lotto Jackpot, making 29 of them millionaires. In the first few weeks of 2023, seven players have already guessed at least six correct numbers and won a big cash prize.
