Belgian singer Angèle was crowned female artist of the year at the Victoires de la Musique ceremony on Friday in Paris.
Angèle was in the running for the award with singers Izïa and Pomme.
Earlier in the evening, Angèle had already received the Victoire de la musique award for the most streamed album, “Nonante-cinq la suite”, the Belgian singer's second album.
This was also nominated in the best album category, as was “Multitude” by Belgian singer Stromae.
The jury had already also awarded Stromae with the male artist prize earlier in the evening.
