The Bright Festival of Lights returns to Brussels this week: from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 February, public transport company STIB will make the capital shine by illuminating their tram lines 92 and 93 from the inside.
This year, the Bright Festival will take place in three districts of the capital: the Quartier Royal, the European district and for the first time since the festival's launch: the Lehon district in the Schaerbeek commune. The festival offers three routes from 19:00 to 23:00 with more than twenty original art installations.
"Alongside these artistic installations, the festival will feature an equally luminous fringe programme, consisting of evening events in the museums, guided tours and ephemeral installations by the event's partners. This edition also promises a magnificent spotlight, both literally and figuratively, on our region's rich Art Nouveau heritage," the website reads.

During the four days of the Bright Festival, a tram illuminated from the inside will run all day long to mark the occasion. The tram runs on lines 92 and 93, serving various locations along the festival route.
Additionally, STIB's network will make it easy to move from one festival route to another: the four metro lines, five of the tram lines and 16 bus lines will transport curious revellers to the various light trails. Bus lines 56 and 59 are also being reinforced to facilitate the passage between the trail in the European quarter and Schaerbeek.
