Smaïl Farisi has been released on conditional parole. He was released by the Instruction judge in charge of the investigation into the Brussels attacks, RTL reported on Saturday. It was confirmed by the Federal Prosecutor’s office. His preventative custody has ended and is on conditional parole but the charges against him still stand.
He rented an apartment in Avenue de la Caserne in Etterbeek, which served as a base for Osama Krayem and Khalid El Bakraoui the morning of the Brussels and Zaventem attacks.
