Several people were injured in three different incidents across Brussels on the night of Friday to Saturday, various police zones confirmed.
Three unconnected incidents took place in Brussels on Friday night, Sudpresse reported, news that was later confirmed by the various police forces. The first incident took place at 01:00 in a bar in rue Verbist in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode.
There, police had to intervene in a scuffle between two people, which resulted in one person becoming injured and being taken to hospital. The person is reportedly not in a life-threatening situation.
The exact cause and circumstances of the brawl are still unclear and are the subject of an investigation being conducted by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
Meanwhile, a few hours later, at around 03:45, another fight broke out between two homeless people at the De Brouckère metro station.
According to reports, three homeless people had forced the entrance to the locked station and once inside, two of them clashed. One of the two was injured in the process and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspected culprit is said to have been identified but has not been apprehended for the time being.
Finally, a shooting also took place earlier in the morning at around 07:00 on Saturday on Rue de la Carpe in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, resulting in another person becoming wounded, however, an update on this person's condition was not given.
This event, as well as the brawl at the De Brouckère metro station, are also under investigation by the public prosecutor’s office.
