An accident on the E40 has caused several kilometres of traffic jams on the motorway, according to the Belgian motoring organisation Touring.
An incident occurred at around 14:00 near the Walloon municipality of Herstal, which led to only the motorway's left-hand lane remaining open to traffic.
Despite the wreckage having since been cleared, urgent repairs have had to be carried out at the scene due to it having occurred near a pothole.
There are still queues forming because of the accident, with Touring expecting the situation to return to normal by tomorrow morning.
