Formula 1 simulation racing, practising your baseball skills or even free-falling from an artificial cliff, the newly opened Sparkx's 'sports entertainment' theme park is offering visitors a chance to try their hand at more than 50 different sports.
The opening of the park was announced at the start of this year, with the company behind Sparkx announcing it would be the biggest sport entertainment complex of its type in Europe.
The 3,500 square metres space, which opened its doors on Wednesday 17 May in Hasselt, in the province of Limburg, is described as an "action-packed and fun-focused" park.
The goal is to allow people of all ages and all levels to discover and practice sports in a physical environment, supported by Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).
In the indoor park, people can also play traditional sports such as football, tennis and basketball, as well as lesser-known sports such as curling, clay pigeon shooting or sports fishing.
However, the simulated sports are the real attraction, giving keen adventurers a chance to go alpine skiing, zipline through the amusement park at the speed of their choice and even have a go at Hado, Japanese dodgeball.

For some activities, it is recommended to book in advance. Ticket prices start at €14,95 but the cost can be higher depending on how many hours are spent in the park.
