The Bevrijding tunnel towards Antwerp is completely blocked due to an accident on the A12 on Wednesday morning, the Flemish Traffic Centre said.
The accident occurred just before the tunnel entrance, where a van, a car and a semi-trailer collided. The vehicles involved are currently being towed away, but it is still unclear how long the disruption will last.

There is currently a traffic jam over six kilometres long in the direction of the Antwerp ring road and queues of up to three quarters of an hour.
Traffic towards the Jan De Vostunnel or Kiel can get through but should also expect delays.
The Flemish Traffic Centre advises drivers wanting to get from Brussels to Antwerp to take the E19.
