The Brussels Iris Hospitals, a network of public and academic hospitals in the city, will operate to minimum service on Tuesday 30 May due to strike action.
Hospital staff are asking for more resources and better working conditions, the joint union front announced on Friday.
There will be strike posts erected in front of a number of hospitals and workers will march to the office of Brussels Health Minister Alain Maron.
There will also be a demonstration in the streets of the capital.
Among the bundle of demands submitted by the unions, it is stated that the staff want “more respect, more resources and more appreciation”.
Staff at Brussels public hospitals had already taken action in March as “thousands of workers are being abandoned by their management”.
