A fire broke out at the Yvoir refugee centre on rue du Redeau shortly before midnight on Sunday night. Fortunately, no one was injured.
More than 30 people were evacuated from the scene, said a spokesperson for the Dinaphi zone (Dinant-Philippeville). They were rehoused elsewhere on the site.
The fire brigade, under the command of Lieutenant Serusiaux, responded with a tanker fire engine and a lift from the Yvoir fire station. A team from ORES, the network operator, also arrived at the scene.
According to the fire brigade from the Dinaphi emergency zone, the source of the fire appears to have been electrical.
