A car travelling well over the speed limit was seized by the Brussels-North police zone last Friday after its driver was driving dangerously while participating in a wedding procession.
Police were called after loud car horns and acceleration noises could be heard throughout the municipality of Evere, with many cars that were part of the wedding procession said to be violating traffic regulations.
One vehicle in particular, an Audi RS6, caught police attention by accelerating sharply in a 30-kilometre-per-hour zone, before narrowly missing a bus stop.

A spokesperson for the police zone stated that "the driver was endangering the physical integrity of pedestrians who crossed nearby zebra crossings." The car was eventually intercepted.
"Due to (the driver's) dangerous behaviour of the driver and the fact that he repeatedly endangered other road users, the vehicle was administratively seized for five working days," police stated.
