Some 13 kg of cannabis, 1.1 kg of cocaine and about €60,000 were seized in the Clemenceau district in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht last month during a drug trafficking investigation.
In a large-scale operation, Brussels police zone South conducted a total of 15 searches at various locations, including Anderlecht, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Brussels City, Affligem and De Panne. An additional search was also carried out at the Saint-Gilles prison.
Police forces identified and searched four production facilities, and seized a significant amount of drugs and cash: in total, 13 kg of cannabis, 1.1 kg of cocaine and €60,000 in cash. Additionally, 12 people are suspected of drug trafficking, and seven of them have been placed under arrest.
