When Brussels designer Frédéric Nicolay created Bar du Matin, it transformed a scruffy urban patch next to a metro entrance into a cool urban spot to hang out.
Furnished with hard wooden chairs and big glass windows, the bar is relaxed during the day, while drawing late-night crowds on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a programme of jazz and DJ sets.
On summer days, the terrace in front is one of the best spots in the city to catch the sun.
