Thibaut Courtois will not take part in the Red Devils' Euro 2024 qualifier in Estonia on Tuesday.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper will not train with the squad on Monday and will not be on the trip to Estonia in the afternoon, the Belgian Football Association (RBFA) confirmed to Belga News Agency. The reason was not specified.

Belgium will therefore have to cope without its starting goalkeeper against Estonia on Tuesday at 20:45 (Belgian time) in Tallinn. Matz Sels, Thomas Kaminski and Arnaud Bodart are the three options available to Domenico Tedesco to replace Courtois.

The coach will be at a press conference in the Estonian capital at 18:30 (Belgian time) alongside Jan Vertonghen. He will then be able to explain Courtois' absence, which several media reports declare is due to the goalkeeper's dissatisfaction with the captain's armband.

Romelu Lukaku was captain in the match against Austria at the weekend as Kevin De Bruyne was injured, but Tedesco announced that Thibaut Courtois would wear the armband in the qualifier against Estonia.
