The Palais 12 indoor arena at the Heysel in Brussels will change its name to the ING Arena from September, as part of a new cooperation agreement, ING Belgium and Brussels Expo announced on Friday.
Palais 12 is one of the largest concert and event venues in Belgium and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The venue opened in 2013 on the Heysel site in Brussels and has since hosted 300 concerts and events for a total of 2 million visitors.
"I am extremely proud to be able to associate the name of our bank with an iconic, Belgian venue where thousands of people experience their passion every year," CEO of ING Belgium, Peter Adams, said in a press release.
Brussels Expo and ING Belgium have now signed a new cooperation agreement on the site until 2030. Part of that agreement is a name change: from September, Palais 12 will go by the name 'ING Arena'.

"I am delighted with the new impetus we are giving to this partnership today," said Philippe Close (PS), chair of Brussels Expo's Board of Directors and mayor of the City of Brussels.
For Brussels Expo CEO, Denis Delforge, the venue's strengths are its programme, atmosphere, hospitality, acoustics, gastronomy, easy accessibility and responsible engagement.
"Thanks to the new cooperation contract, we can pool our strengths together and develop new initiatives to take the ING Arena experience to the next level."
