Couleur Café, one of Brussels’ largest music festivals, attracted 70,000 visitors to Parc d'Osseghem at the foot of the Atomium last weekend over three sun-filled days.
Marking the 32nd edition of the annual Brussels music festival, this year’s lineup hosted 60 live bands, 40 DJs and collectives, 36 restaurants, dozens of shops, and other attractions. Weekend tickets were sold out weeks before the event, with day tickets also selling out by Sunday.
As is customary for the festival, the Couleur Café crowds were treated to music from all over the world – from Cuba to the Democratic Republic of Congo to France and the US – spanning a wide variety of genres including Afrobeats, reggae, hip-hop, trap, Latin music, pop and electronic music.
This year’s headliners included big names such as Joey Bada$$, Fireboy DML, Ayra Starr, Tash Sultana, Tayc, Black Sherif, Gente de Zona, and Protoje.
As in previous editions, the festivals placed an emphasis on local acts, such as Antwerp acts Coely and blackwave, and Brussels rappers Peet, Jazz Brak and Roméo Elvis.
