The government of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, FWB, approved on Thursday the inclusion of 25 additional projects in its energy renovation programme for cultural buildings, worth over €53 million.
The projects approved on Thursday include the Spy library, the Balsamine theatre in Schaerbeek, ‘Le Hangar’ hall in Charleroi, the Huy library, Trianon theatre in Liège, Écran cinema in Ath and Roches cultural centre in Rochefort.
The contribution from the FWB will cover 70% of the cost of energy-saving work and 40% of the cost of other work and expenses. The amounts have been increased by 10% to account for rising construction prices, according to a government press release.
