A 42-year-old Belgian man has been sentenced to ten months in prison after stealing more than €11,000 worth of petrol, L'Avenir reports.
The man is reported to have discovered a flaw in the card payment system at a Lukoil station in Cerfontaine, in the province of Namur, which allowed to him to purchase huge amounts of fuel almost free of charge.
He refilled his tank repeatedly at the location between February 2018 and September 2019. He also shared his discovery with his relatives.
Lukoil estimates that a total of €11,802.69 worth of petrol was stolen.
