You can’t miss this busy Indian restaurant with its freshly painted pink and green façade on Chaussée d’Ixelles in Brussels.

Owners Tim Van den Heuvel and Pavan Bajwa took over a former corner cafe earlier this summer to bring authentic Indian cooking to the capital.

Tim and Pavan have come a long way since they set out selling Indian cooking from a food truck. Their first restaurant, Mission Masala, opened in Antwerp in 2018, followed by a restaurant in Ghent and now finally they have put down roots in Brussels.

The stunning interior has the feel of a night shop in a crowded Indian alley. It is filled with Bollywood posters, wooden doors, lamp-posts and street signs gathered by the couple over the years during their trips to India.

The sharing menu is inspired by regional Indian comfort food such as fried chicken with madras mayonnaise, lamb kebab cooked in a tandoori oven, and sticky Goan ribs.
