One of the two victims of an attack at a care home in Gossoncourt (Tirlemont), a 91-year-old man, passed away on Saturday morning at the hospital, according to an announcement from the Louvain Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The suspect, a 37-year-old man, was apprehended by the police immediately following the incident.
The man, who came from Brussels and in the early hours of the morning, invaded “Huize Nazareth”, a residential care home, and assaulted two of its residents for reasons that have yet to be determined. The second victim, an 89-year-old woman, remains hospitalised.
