The Le Pain Quotidien bakery on Avenue Louise was forced to close at the start of September after a health inspection.

The health inspection was carried out by the Federal Agency for Safety and the Food Chain (FASFC) in early September, and the establishment had to close for two weeks as a result.

"There were problems with general cleanliness and vermin," the FASFC told Bruzz. The FASFC does not provide any details about what the exact issue was.

In the meantime, however, the bakery has resolved the problems. "We did a re-check on Monday morning, so in principle, they can open immediately. We will continue to monitor them closely."
