Conciliation negotiations between unions representing pilots and Brussels Airlines' management have yet to reach a resolution.
Nevertheless, high hopes remain that a deal will eventually be agreed, company and worker representatives have revealed to Belga News Agency, with two further meetings set for this week.
The pilots submitted a strike notice last Wednesday, covering actions from 11 December onwards. The airline's management still hopes to avoid this, much like it successfully averted a cabin crew strike planned for the upcoming weekend.
Stewards and hostesses for Brussels Airlines were originally called to strike on 1, 2, and 3 December. However, the strike was called off after unions and management agreed a labour deal over the weekend. According to worker representatives, the company presented a serious proposal on which staff will be consulted over the coming month.
