Brussels' Reyers-Centre tunnel towards the city centre has reopened after having been closed to traffic on Tuesday morning.
The regional public service in charge of roads, Brussels Mobility, reported on Tuesday that just before 04:00 that the tunnel was closed due to "a technical incident".
Translation: Due to a technical incident, the Reyers-Centre Tunnel towards the Centre is closed to traffic.
It was unclear how long the tunnel would remain closed for, but by 09:00 on Tuesday morning, Brussels Mobility announced the the reopening of the tunnel to traffic – adding that the issue had been resolved.
The Brussels tunnel connects the A3 to Avenue de Cortenbergh (N23), towards the city centre. Thousands of cars usually pass through the tunnel daily, but as the school holidays are still on, road traffic is less busy this week.
