A digital skills training centre, specifically for women, is set to open in Brussels’ Gare du Nord train station this spring.
This is a result of a grant of €220,000 made in December last by the government of Brussels to Womenpreneur, a non-profit organisation.
The 'Womenpreneur Space' centre will host six different training programmes in its first year, with a capacity for 115 participants, according to the region's employment minister, Bernard Clerfayt, who announced the news on Wednesday.
The Womenpreneur Initiative is already running three-month programmes in the premises of Bruxelles Formation, the region's training agency. It enables job-seeking women in Brussels to learn various digital skills, such as graphic design, development, and digital marketing.
Womenpreneur also provides connections with sector businesses and professionals.
