The Brosella Spring Festival is set to return to Brussels from 7 to 10 March after a successful debut in 2023.

Over four days, the festival will spotlight emerging artists from jazz, world and urban music genres.

As with last year, the festival will take place at the old industrial laundromat, LaVallée, located in Molenbeek’s canal zone. Sixteen selected groups will perform on two indoor stages, with an expected 250-300 visitors each night.

Weekend activities will cater to families, featuring dance workshops, concerts, and interactive sound installations.

This year’s line-up includes acclaimed artists such as Brussels-based nu-jazz ensemble KAU, pianist Dorian Dumont, Aki’s band (Anke Verslype), world-class drummers Eric Thielemans and Billy Hart, and fusion experts ZWORNTURF featuring Jozef Dumoulin, Dré Pallemaers and Frank Deruytter. World music groups, Merope, Tsubasa Hori and Tamala, will also grace the festival stages.

In partnership with UK organisation Tomorrow’s Warriors, dedicated to jazz education and talent development, Brosella is launching a unique co-production.

Three young Belgian musicians (Eliott Knuets, Lúcia Pires, Diogo Alexandre), and gifted London artists (Maddy Coombs, Menelik Claffey, Luke Bacchus) are brought together to present their original compositions under the banner BXL x LDN Interplay.

Advance ticket sales are now open, offered on a solidarity pricing system, providing a suggested price, a support price, and a reduced rate. Admission is free for those under 14 years old.
