Meet Subaru’s New Crosstrek e-Boxer

Subaru has a new and compact SUV in its showroom: the Crosstrek. This versatile SUV, like every Subaru, features permanent four-wheel drive and an extensive safety equipment. The model not only offers a high level of safety and driving pleasure, but it's ready for any adventure, whether in the city or far beyond. Perhaps most surprisingly, its price is quite competitive. Subaru's all-rounder starts at €35,245.

Meet Subaru’s New Crosstrek e-Boxer

The Crosstrek is a worthy successor to the Subaru XV. Since its original launch in 2011, the XV has been a popular choice among Subaru drivers in Europe. As its popularity grew over the years, the model became essential in transforming Subaru's brand image. The brand was initially rooted in rally sports but evolved into a niche outdoor SUV brand. Functional values such as safety, driving pleasure, and durability take center stage, typically described by Subaru owners as "Safe, Fun, Tough."

Electric motor

The all-new Crosstrek continues to use the distinctive combination of permanent symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with the e-Boxer hybrid powertrain. This powertrain consists of a direct-injected 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine, coupled with an electric motor within the adapted automatic transmission.

Smart

It's a powerful and smart combination. The e-BOXER hybrid powertrain adjusts the power distribution between the combustion engine and the electric motor, adapting to the conditions. Three modes are possible: driving on fuel, electric driving, and a hybrid mode where the engines support each other. The intelligent drivetrain has a positive impact on emissions and fuel consumption.

Stable

The e-Boxer hybrid powertrain has another advantage: it achieves a much lower center of gravity and better front/rear weight distribution. Moreover, the optimized torque distribution between front and rear wheels provides the permanent four-wheel drive with better performance for comfortable and responsive driving, as well as highly responsive and stable handling.

Exciting

Like the XV it succeeds, the Crosstrek is a true SUV. It boasts 22 cm ground clearance, permanent four-wheel drive, and a rugged appearance. Regardless of the terrain or weather, the Crosstrek safely takes its occupants to their chosen destination, all in comfort. Electronic assistance systems can be activated when the journey becomes exciting, such as on slippery or steep surfaces. The technology takes over the accelerator and brakes, allowing the driver to focus entirely on steering. This technology provides extra peace of mind.

Prevent accidents

The same applies to numerous safety features of the EyeSight system. For those unfamiliar, EyeSight is a system with two cameras placed next to the rearview mirror. The cameras monitor the road with the driver and issue warnings in case of danger. If the driver does not respond, the system will intervene and try to prevent an accident. In total, there are 14 safety features watching over the car and its occupants.

Apple Carplay

The safety equipment is extensive, and so is the standard equipment. A notable feature in the interior is a large 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and many other attractive and practical functions. Typical of Subaru: the controls are designed so that the driver can perform actions without taking their eyes off the road, ensuring a safe ride.

No Options

The Crosstrek is available in three well-equipped versions. There are virtually no additional options. The equipment is comprehensive, the interior spacious, and various adjustments to technology and interior reduce external noise and the influence of body movements, enhancing comfort on highways and in the city.

Safety

As with every Subaru, safety is a crucial aspect of the Crosstrek. The model features a new version of the independently praised EyeSight safety system. Adding an extra camera and seven new functions, including adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition, further enhances the safety of the driver and passengers. Colliding with obstacles becomes even more challenging in the Crosstrek.

Peace of Mind

To offer Crosstrek buyers even more peace of mind, every Crosstrek variant comes with Safe8, providing eight years of warranty. The warranty covers technical problems and labor. This additional assurance adds to the five years of roadside assistance that every Subaru has been equipped with for years.

Residual Value

The extended warranty not only eliminates costs and concerns for unforeseen defects, but Safe8 also has a positive impact on the car's residual value. It's reassuring to be able to sell a car with a warranty to a new owner within eight years. And the buyer knows that they can enjoy their used Subaru worry-free for many years. The Safe8 warranty applies to all newly sold Subarus, has no mileage restriction, is transferable upon selling the car, and is valid internationally.

Prices

The prices for the all-new Crosstrek start at €35,245 for the Comfort variant, the Luxury is priced at €37,245, and the most complete version, the Premium, leaves the showroom starting at €39,245. The Crosstrek is available for immediate delivery. A comprehensive and convincing test drive is possible at the Subaru dealer.
