Former US President Barack Obama is coming to Belgium for a conference on Sunday 17 March.
"An Evening With President Barack Obama" at the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theatre in Puurs (Province of Antwerp) will be a prelude to the tech festival Supernova, taking place in Antwerp on 21-22 March.
Supernova was organised for the first time in 2018 as a combination of a conference with renowned speakers and a technology fair with demonstrations.
The aim was to make it a biennial event, but the health crisis thwarted those plans in 2020 and 2022. So this year will be the second edition.
With Barack Obama, Supernova has managed to secure a star-studded opening, even if the former president's conference falls a few days before the event itself commences.
Barack Obama "will give a moderated talk on the challenges we face and his vision for the future".
The conference also promises speakers from leading technology and innovation organisations and companies, including IDEO, Tesla, NASA, Apple and Wired.
