Following the deadly shooting in the Brussels municipality of Saint-Gilles earlier this week, the Federal Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the events to come forward.
The shooting took place at 05:52 on Square Jacques Franck in Saint-Gilles on Wednesday morning. The victim was 23-year-old Badreddine Jammal, the police report.
As part of the investigation, they are now asking for people who witnessed the events to come forward. People who knew the victim and can provide useful information about him are also asked to contact the police.
"Discretion will be assured," the police stressed.
